SHORT TERM INTERNSHIPS AND TEAMSEvery year people like you are getting out of their comfort zone to explore opportunities, experience changed lives, engage their skills and passions, and make a difference.
CAM’s short-term ministries are designed to provide exposure to other cultures and needs, allowing you to EMERGE beyond your limits and see where you might fit if God were to lead you to pursue longer term ministry down the road. Opportunities for meaningful ministry and outreach are also built in to short-term experiences. Ministry teams of various sizes spend anywhere from one to three weeks making a difference. EMERGE summer Internships of 4, 6 and 8 weeks go deeper, and academic credit is often available. 8 Week option May 25-July 20, 2011 - $3200 6 Week option June 8-July 20, 2011 - $2600 4 Week option June 22-July 20, 2011 - $1600 (prices vary for a few of the internships - be sure to check each PDF doucement for accurate pricing)
Upcoming EMERGE Summer 2011 internships and ministry team experiences: Mexico Internship: Summer ‘11 Enjoy a beautiful climate and beautiful people as you build cross cultural relationships living, worshipping and ministering with the Mexican church. Activities include significant team worship and development times, teaching ESL and kids clubs. Graphic arts/animation internship also available. Includes language study for 8 week option. Honduras Internship: Summer ‘11 Community development evangelism, orphanage work and Video and Graphic Design internships available for 4 or 6 weeks. Live and serve alongside local leaders and believers helping sustain the church's ministries and needs of daily live. Help teach, working construction projects and carry out discipleship to orphans in a rural orphanage. Help in the areas of communication for various ministries throughout Honduras. Language study is possible for most internships. View PDF Fact Sheet. Guatemala Internship: Summer ‘11 Serve in one of three four areas in Guatemala for 4, 6, or 8 weeks. Opportunities to be involved in helping in the on-side school and mentoring girls in a girl's home. Care for children at a care center in the community surrounding the Guatemala City Dump. Live and serve in a beautiful Mayan village on Lake Atitlan serving the community through different projects using your gifts and talents. Uruguay Internship: Summer ‘11 The Mate Project: This internship will facilitate missions and cultural awareness through immersion in cultural activities as well as promote spiritual formation while developing the intern's strengths through life coaching. Hispanic USA Urban Internship: Summer ‘11 Four week internship in inner city Dallas, TX. Opportunities include: teaching ESL classes in both formal and individual settings; develop personal relationships; evangelism; discipleship; home Bible studies; youth and children ministry through weekday clubs, VBS and music. Internship takes place in a predominantly Hispanic apartment complex. View PDF Fact Sheet. Spain Internship: Summer ’11 Serve in Spain in on of two locations for 4, 6 or 10 weeks. Southern Spain opportunity includes ministry and evangelism in a post-modern context through ESL activities. Work alongside a missionary family and church ministering to kids and youth in the community and experience the culture of southern Spain. Camping opportunity in a community north of Madrid includes ministering at one of Spain's best-known Christian camp/retreat centers. Serve alongside Spanish believers as camp counselors and help set up camp in weeks prior to students arrival. Intermediate to fluent Spanish skills required for this internship. Visit PDF Fact Sheet.
