Dear Ministry Partner

 

As the year draws to a close I thank the Lord for how he has sustained CAM International through uncertain financial times and allowed this ministry to boldly move forward. It is because of your partnership with us that we are able to continue making disciples among Spanish-speakers globally, and your tax-deductible year-end gifts are crucial in allowing us to make bold ministry plans for the coming year. If you are like me, you want your charitable contributions to have the greatest impact possible. I would like to tell you about one way in which you can do this in your support of CAM.

 

One of our ministry partners has generously offered to match, dollar for dollar, all undesignated gifts to CAM’s general ministry in the month of December, up to $25,000. What this means for you is that your gift to CAM at the end of this year can actually be doubled by this matching gift. 

 

The nearly $300,000 in cuts we made to our spending earlier this year have proven to be the right step to help carry us through the toughest stretch of the financial crisis. At the close of October, income to CAM was about five percent, or $84,000, under budget for 2009. Historically the last two months of the year are an important time for us to make up this deficit, and this year is no different. 

 

While you prayerfully consider your year end giving to the organizations you support, I would ask you to think about a gift to support CAM’s home office. Your gifts will be used to provide many important services to our missionary body such as handling their mail, coordinating health insurance benefits, and receipting and disbursing funds to support ministry. Just as importantly, these gifts allow CAM leadership to guide the entire mission toward the unified goal of making disciples globally, to recruit new missionaries to the field and to identify and open new ministry fields as God leads. Without your partnership with the home office we would not be able to achieve these goals.

 

I am so grateful for your contributions to CAM’s ministry, whether through gifts to a specific missionary, ministry project, or the home office. You are a blessing to all of us at CAM.
