Culminating fifteen months of focused study, audience research and prayer, CAM International of Canada's Board of Directors, on October 3rd, adopted the name Camino Global to refresh the mission's identity.

Founded in 1890 as the Central American Mission, CAM International of Canada exists to produce and empower committed followers of Jesus Christ in Spanish-speaking areas to reach the world.  CAM's first missionaries served in Costa Rica.  By 1900, CAM had established a presence in five Central American Republics, focused on evangelism and church planting.  By the middle of the 20th century, ministries had expanded to include Mexico, Spain and the Hispanic USA.  CAM International of Canada incorporated in 1968 after serving more than a decade as a receipting office.

The new identity of Camino Global, including a new logo and website, will take shape over several months, launching in Spring 2012.
