 | Marvin Srigley, Board Chair General Motors, Retired St. Catharines, Ontario A retired machinist with General Motors, Marvin was on the CAM Canada board from 1999-2005. He recently rejoined the board in 2008 and became board chair in July 2010. His connection to CAM Canada came through a short term mission trip to El Salvador in 1994. God changed many of Marvin's ideals through that trip, and since then he has visited Peru, Bolivia, Guatemala and Cuba. His passion to support and serve globally is creatively funded by a busy roof installation business throughout the summer. Marvin and his wife Debby enjoy cycling together. |  | Donald Brooker Consultant, Mennonite Foundation of Canada, Niagara Office Burlington, Ontario Donald Brooker has been working in missions for over 25 years. He served as a missionary in Central and South America before returning to Canada where he served as Executive Director of International Bible Society Canada and later SAT-7 Canada. Donald's passion is to see individuals engaged in the great commission using their time, talent and treasure to ensure that others will come to know our Saviour. Donald joined the CAM Canada Board in January 2010. |  | Peggi Garner Niagara Health System and Bayshore Dialysis Center Registered Nurse St. Catharines, Ontario Peggi is a native of Toronto, Ontario. She has been married for 31 years to John who pastors Redeemer Bible Church in Niagara Falls. Missions has been Peggi's passion since graduating as a Registered Nurse in 1978 heading to Asia, but sidelined by marriage to minister with her husband. Peggi has served on the CAM Canada board since 2004. |  | Rev. Steve Paul, Board Vice Chair & Secretary Senior Associate Pastor, Emmanuel Baptist Church Barrie, Ontario Steve grew up in Central America as a 2nd generation MK (missionary kid) in the CAM family. He graduated from Moody Bible Institute, the University of Texas, and Dallas Theological Seminary. Steve met his wife Cathy at Moody and they married in 1985. From 1991-2000 they served with TEAM as missionaries in Chad, Africa. In 2001 Steve began pastoring at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Barrie, Ontario. He has served on CAM Canada's board since then as well. Steve and Cathy have three awesome sons. |  | Rev. Sergio Parras, Board TreasurerSenior Pastor, Iglesia Fraternidad Cristiana Hamilton, Ontario Elected to the board in 2008, Rev. Sergio Parras pastors Iglesia Fraternidad Cristiana in Hamilton, Ontario. He is also co-founder of the Hispanic Bible Institute of Canada (I.B.H.CA) in connection with CAM Canada. As a young adult, Sergio served in his home church, Iglesia Nazaret, in San Salvador. In 1976 he served as a board member and leader of the National Christian Youth Committee of El Salvador, which was part of the Central American Mission churches. It was in 1983 that Sergio felt a call from the Lord to serve with his wife in Canada as a Hispanic church planter. |  | Magnus Thorlakson Revenue Canada Agency, Retired Scarborough, Ontario Born in Drumheller, Alberta, Magnus was raised in Manitoba and Ontario, coming to know the Lord 68 years ago. He met his wife Margaret in Scarborough and together they share two children and five grandchildren. Magnus' career spanned the insurance, manufacturing, legal and government industries. After 25 years as a law clerk, he spent the last ten years of his career with Revenue Canada before retiring in 2000. Magnus has held many church leadership positions, presently as an elder at Parkway Bible Church. He served on the board of directors with AEF before it merged with SIM, and for the last seven years as a CAM Canada board member. |
|  | Charlene de Haan With a background rich in ministry experience, Charlene taught missionary kids at a CAM school in Guatemala, served as Executive Director for Pioneer Clubs Canada and as Manager of Human Resources with Interserve Canada. She also volunteers on several non-profit boards, works as a consultant with leading Christian organizations and contributes free-lance articles to various Christian publications. Charlene brings expertise in partnership building, strategic planning, training and project management; skills as a problem solver with a results-oriented focus, and an ability to identity challenges and effectively transition through change. With a worldview influenced by visiting 26 countries, Charlene is well-positioned to work effectively in a global context and to offer pastoral care to missionaries serving in diverse cultures. |  | Bradley Lyall CAM Canada Accountant donate@camcanada.org Bradley has been with CAM International since January 2005 as their Internal Accountant. As God's presence and grace in Central America have grown, so have Bradley's responsibilities. These include the recording and entering of all financial transactions, preparing tax receipts for distribution and answering donor questions. His professional experience in finance and taxation has allowed him to carry out his role both with CAM and in the body of Christ. "Just as each one has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of the varied grace of God" (1 Peter 4:10). |
